Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency in various office systems. We also have a new clinic in NE Calgary.
We are also looking for positions in both NW and NE locations.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and manage front desk operations in a friendly and professional manner.
Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for healthcare providers.
Handle incoming calls using phone systems, addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as ACCURO EMR to document patient information and updates.
Assist with faxing documents for disability claim's verification processes as needed.
Collaborate with other Medical office staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
Experience
Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting.
Experience using some EMR systems is highly desirable.
Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software applications.
Experience working in both medical or dental offices is a plus but not mandatory.
