Job Summary
OVERVIEW: This position is ideal for a candidate with medical office and Athena electronic medical records system experience. We are looking for motivated, hardworking, bright, and loyal individuals to learn, grow and advance in our company.
COMPANY: Consultants In Neurology, Ltd is located in north suburbs of Chicago and has been in practice for over 50 years. We are a private practice caring for individuals with neurologic illnesses. We are also recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a Center of Excellence for Multiple Sclerosis Care. We conduct multiple clinical research studies with main focus on Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
PROSPECT and TRAINING: Additional on job training will be provided.

Responsibilities and Duties
A successful candidate will have excellent customer service and medical receptionist skills in the medical office setting, have working experience with Athena electronic medical records system, be attentive to detail in all patient transactions and telephone triage.
DUTIES:
Communication with patients (scheduling, rescheduling and confirming visits, taking messages for physicians)
Communication with other medical providers and medical vendors
Checking patients in, rooming patients and checking patients out (processing MD orders and scheduling next visit), entering data in Athena electronic system.
Processing requests for prescriptions and medical documents
Qualifications and Skills
Medical receptionist experience and experience with Athena electronic medical records required.
