Job Description
Eighth Avenue Obstetrics and Gynecology is currently seeking a Bilingual medical office receptionist. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years experience in a medical office setting, prefered but not required at least 1 year of experience in an ObGyn office.
Key duties and responsibilities include the following:
Greet and welcome patients to the facility
Collect demographic and insurance information upon patient check-in
Collect co-pays, deductibles and surgical deposits
Notifies physicians of patient arrival
Answers all patient insurance and financial questions
Informs patient of financial responsibilities and answers questions
Schedules appropriate visit follow-up per physician instructions
Maintain confidentiality and HIPPPA compliance measures at all times
Is able to clearly communicate with patients, both professionally and in a friendly manner
Communicates office inventory and needs to management
Maintains order and fax machine and provides completed tasks to clinical staff
Prepares next day charts and duties to ensure efficient workflow for next day services

Education and Experience:
High School diploma
Experience in medical office setting 2+ years obgyn a plus
Medical knowledge and familiar with medical terminology
Bilingual Spanish not required but prefered
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
