Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience:
Responsible for overall front desk activities including phones, scheduling, checking in/out patients, insurance verification and collecting copays/balances.
Monitor communication through phone, EMR and fax and respond to or redirect to appropriate staff member in timely manner.
Process referral requests.
Serve as backup for counterpart at other office locations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.
Willing to commute to Lansdowne, Purcellville and StoneSprings offices.
Must be a team player, with a strong work ethic.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and able to work independently.
Strong computer and general office skills.
Experience with EMR system preferred.
