Job Description
Family Medical Center of Michigan, Inc has an immediate opportunity for a Full Time Receptionist in our Adrian Michigan Center!
The Medical Receptionist works as part of the medical office team by providing support services ensuring a welcoming customer service oriented environment while receiving patients and visitors. The medical receptionist facilitates overall efficiency in the provision of health care services by the Family Medical Center of Michigan.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients and visitors
telephone answering
scheduling appointments
insurance verifications
administering medical record services
scanning documents
Daytime hours with some early evening hours, (8 hour shifts) starting at 7:30 am, . and up to 7:00pm. (late hours are on a rotation)
Health, Vision and Dental and Life Insurance available at 30 days.
Compensation based on experience
$300. Sign On Bonus
The Ideal Candidate will have:
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in health care setting, ideally in an outpatient office practice.
Basic familiarity with routine medical protocol and terminology.
Experience with insurance verifications
Experience with electronic health records
Basic computer skills
Customer Service experience
Ability to manage several tasks at once
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
