Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
Manage medical records and health information management systems accurately.
Handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information as needed.
Assist with coding for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Collaborate with dental clinic staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Skills
Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
Knowledge of health information management practices and medical terminology.
Strong clerical skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
Experience in medical scheduling, including appointment management systems.
Familiarity with coding practices relevant to medical billing processes.
Previous experience in a dental clinic or dental office is preferred but not required.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff alike.
