Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using patient management software
Verify patient insurance coverage and process billing in accordance with health regulation policies
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure confidentiality of all patient information
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls efficiently and professionally
Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and collecting relevant medical history
Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as document preparation and data entry
Ensure compliance with health regulation policies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology
Manage incoming correspondence, including emails and faxes, related to patient care or administrative needs
Experience
Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is highly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
Familiarity with patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR) systems such as EMR platforms
Knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and healthcare regulations
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction
Ability to type quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail
Experience working in dental or medical offices is a plus but not required; training will be provided on specific systems or protocols
Willing to help in Zanesville and Barnesville when needed.
