Medical Receptionist

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our medical practice. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software AthenaOne

- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records (EMR) system AthenaOne

- Verify insurance information and assist patients with completing necessary forms

- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers

- Manage medical records, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents

- Handle billing inquiries and process payments

- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and mailing
Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred

- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology

- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems (we use AthenaOne)

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Familiarity with medical scheduling software is a plus
