Job Overview
We are looking for a mature, reliable and motivated individual to join our Team as a Medical Receptionist. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a busy environment and can maintain professionalism, patience, and compassion while supporting patients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow using electronic medical records Accuro
Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
Answer phones
Collect patient demographic and insurance information accurately
Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including payment processing when applicable
Maintain organized and up-to-date patient files in compliance with privacy regulations
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, scanning, and filing
Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Requirements
Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems Accuro
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in office experience including multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Ability to handle high-volume patient interactions with professionalism and courtesy
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific software systems if needed
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
