About us
All Ears! Center is a non-profit audiology and speech therapy clinic servicing pediatric and adult patients in The Woodlands, Texas.
Job Summary:
Schedule speech and audiology appointments, verify insurance, check patients in/out of appointments, schedule follow-up appointments, collect payments from patients, process incoming referrals, ensure appropriate documentation is obtained including physician orders and prior authorizations, and other tasks to provide assistance to the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Patient scheduling
Registering new patients and updating current patient information in clinic's EMR system
Appointment check-in/check-out
Collect co-pays and other payments
Verify patient eligibility for all insurances and obtaining any pre-requisite documentation (physician orders, referrals, prior-authorizations) prior to the appointment
Assist with patient inquiries and answer questions from outside providers
Identify and resolve patient appointment/insurance information
Maintain patient confidentiality, including adherence to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Complete other office duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Fluent in spoken and written English language
Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent/GED
Relevant experience as a medical receptionist or similar position
Proficient in Microsoft applications and data entry
Strong understanding of relevant laws and best practices and specific policies, including but not limited to HIPAA regulations
Comfortable in an office environment
Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail while working with integrity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and capable of effective prioritizing and multi-tasking
Ability to maintain flexibility with office policies and procedures.
Physical demands such as looking at a computer screen for long periods of time, sitting and/or standing at a desk and potentially long periods of talking or listening
