Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will ensure smooth front-office operations, coordinate appointments, and provide exceptional administrative support to our medical staff. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes efficient patient care and streamlined clinic workflows.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a friendly and professional first impression
Manage appointment scheduling through our medical office software, ensuring optimal patient flow
Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation for billing purposes
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members
Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and handle confidential information with care
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and managing correspondence
Support medical staff with basic administrative support related to patient intake and follow-up
Travel to our Waxahachie office every Wednesday. You will ride with the doctor and MA to the office for the day and return at the end of the day - in company car.
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with staff and patients
Proven ability to handle medical administrative tasks efficiently and accurately
Excellent office experience with proficiency in office software applications and scheduling systems
Experience in dental or other specialized medical offices is a plus
Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to remain energetic, positive, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
