Job Description
Join EANM as a full-time, Patient Services Representative (PSR) and serve as a key connection between our patients, providers, and clinical teams. In this essential role, you’ll apply your completed training and insurance knowledge to support scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and checkout processes using NextGen and Phreesia. You’ll ensure accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service throughout every patient interaction. As an essential position, PSRs are required to work on-site during epidemics, pandemics, and inclement weather.
Starting pay $15.00 per hour +, depending on skills/experience

What You'll Do:
Schedule, register, check in, and check out patients using NextGen and Phreesia
Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, prior authorizations, and collect patient balances
Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointments, delays, billing, and follow-up needs
Maintain accurate patient records, encounter documentation, and insurance information
Support provider schedules, patient flow, and clinic operations
Manage assigned cash drawer and follow daily batching and reconciliation procedures
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Successful completion of the Ophthalmology Home Study course, LMS Customer Service program, and EANM Insurance Test
Strong customer service skills with a professional, patient-focused demeanor
Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt to changing workflows and systems
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork skills
Willingness to rotate Saturdays, holidays, and work across clinic locations
