Medical Receptionist
Job Overview
Duties and Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate team (pharmacy, DME, billing, etc.)
Make outbound calls to patients, caregivers, and facilities to coordinate monthly DME orders
Confirm supply needs, delivery dates, and insurance information with patients
Document all communications and updates accurately in the patient’s chart/system
Ensure patient records are current and complete with necessary authorizations or documentation
Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor with all patient interactions
Collaborate closely with DME staff and pharmacy team to ensure seamless service
Perform general front desk duties as needed, including faxing, scanning, and filing
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computers and EHR/EMR systems (training provided)
Detail-oriented and dependable
Bilingual (Spanish/English) or previous experience in a medical office/pharmacy/DME setting a plus
