Job Overview
MedPro Respiratory Care is seeking a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a member of the patient care team, they will be responsible for directing patient phone calls, answering client queries and managing the incoming referrals from physicians. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient service on the phone as a first point of contact for patients, family members and referral sources. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with various Microsoft Word and electronic records systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Manage multi-line phone systems to direct phone calls to appropriate teams, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Manage incoming referrals and ensuring they get to the correct staff group
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately
Assist with data entry functions for the medical billing and client service teams
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Input client orders
Handle administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies, opening and coding incoming mail and managing email correspondence
Requirements
Previous experience as a Receptionist or Medical Office Receptionist is highly preferred
Strong client and patient service skills
Proficiency with electronic phone and fax systems
Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a busy office environment
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Prior office experience is desirable
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills are essential
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
