Blacksburg Eye Associates is excited to announce that we have an opening for a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our team! As a progressive optometry practice, we are dedicated to providing innovative vision care and helping our patients with their vision needs and eye health. As our Medical Receptionist you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care and maintaining a professional atmosphere in our office. You will provide exceptional customer service to every patient, whether in-person or on the phone. You will answer phones, check insurance authorizations, and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. You will also order and dispense contact lenses and perform general office duties as assigned by the manager.
To be successful in this role, you must thrive on positivity and encouragement, possess exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, and have outstanding communication skills. You should be intelligent, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new things. You should also be friendly, caring, and thoughtful with exceptional customer service skills.
No experience is necessary for this role as we provide complete training to become a Medical Receptionist. We require a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer someone with at least one year of customer service and/or medical terminology experience and one year of computer skills.
