Medical Care of Western New York is seeking a full time Medical Receptionist to join our Physical Therapy Team!

Job Summary
As a Medical Receptionist you will spend the majority of your time in our Physical Therapy Department working directly with patients and supporting our fast paced clinic environment. Your daily job duties will include Registration, Patient Intake, Appointment Scheduling, Check in/ Check out, and Care Coordination with outside Medical Offices. You will also work closely with our Physical Therapy and Authorization Team.

Responsibilities
Perform patient intake procedures by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and coordinating follow-up appointments or referrals as needed.

Communicating with Authorization Team, Billing Dept, Nursing, Physical Therapy Providers, and Medical Providers to ensure high quality, seamless care.

Experience/ Requirements
Prior experience working in outpatient clinic setting is required
Strong Communication skills, attention to detail, and focus on high level patient experience are essential.

Understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Experience with EPIC EHR is highly preferred
Proven ability to handle fast-paced clinical environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassionate patient care.
