Overview
Our growing private clinical laboratory is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team.
About the Role:
The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and clients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of administrative and patient-related inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
Route Patient billing questions
Laboratory tests and services
Laboratory results (in accordance with privacy regulations)
Phlebotomy/draw schedules and appointments
Greet and assist patients and visitors as needed
Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records if necessary
Route calls and messages to appropriate staff
Assist with general administrative duties (filing, data entry, documentation)
Support additional office tasks and responsibilities as needed
Follow company protocols and HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and patient privacy
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office, laboratory, or customer service role preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
Basic computer skills and familiarity with office systems
Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
Willingness to learn new tasks and support team operations
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
