Job Description

As a receptionist, you will play a key role in providing exceptional patient service. You’ll be responsible for checking patients in and out during clinic days and assisting with various office related tasks on non-clinic days.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Orthopedic Receptionist/Biller to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk experience. Your energetic approach will help streamline patient intake, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical record management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while utilizing your strong administrative skills and medical knowledge.

This individual must be a cheerful, friendly, self starter, able to multi-task, able to prioritize and handle high patient volume, and maintain patient confidentiality. Must have a high attention to detail, able to handle all situations in a professional manner, demonstrate compassion and caring for patients and family. Must be a team player. Must be punctual and dependable, as the patient care depends on you.

We are looking to hire a person who is experienced in having the ability to multi-task and switch gears rather quickly. This is a fast paced front desk with multiple lines and many patients at a time. It is very important to maintain a pleasant attitude at all times
You will be responsible for managing front desk operations, supporting scheduling and patient flow, assisting with insurance and billing processes, and helping create a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

Job Details:
Schedule and Hours:
Hours: Monday through Friday
Full-Time: 30-35 hours per week
Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Check in and out patients on our clinic days.

Make sure exam rooms remain clean and sanitized throughout the day.

Answer multi-line telephone in a courteous and timely manner
Schedule, cancel and reschedule appointments for routine office visits.

Obtain necessary medical records and documents prior to office visits
Verify insurance coverage and benefits for appointments made to make sure services are covered for the dates of service
Obtain referrals
Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service
Schedule appointments efficiently using Veradigm PM
Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks to facilitate smooth billing processes
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and professionalism updating demographics
Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately
Assist with medical billing collection processes to support accurate revenue cycle management
Maintain organized filing of medical records and office documentation, including clinical notes and care plans
Support clinic operations by managing appointment reminders, patient intake forms, and follow-up communications
Skills
Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, particularly as a receptionist or administrative support role in clinics or dental offices
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Ability to manage office tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
Strong organizational skills for insurance verification, and appointment scheduling
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Available Full-time (30-35 hours) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
