Urology Specialists of Ohio is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist is often the first point of contact for our patients and plays an important role in creating a positive, professional patient experience.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy medical office, enjoys helping people, and can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities
Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
Check patients in and out for appointments
Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and contact information
Schedule and reschedule patient appointments
Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately
Assist patients with questions and general requests
Collect copayments, balances, and other patient payments
Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record
Obtain and update insurance information and identification
Prepare and maintain patient charts and documentation
Communicate effectively with clinical staff, providers, and other departments
Follow established office procedures and workflows
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
Assist with other front-office duties as needed
Qualifications
Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Professional and compassionate manner when interacting with patients
Comfortable using computers and learning electronic medical record systems
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately

Location: Springfield, Ohio
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
