Job Description
We have an opening for a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Associate at a Howitt & Paris Eye Care in North Miami. Our ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, remarkable customer service skills and proper telephone etiquette. We’d love our patients to hear your smile!
This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is:
People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with patients
Takes pleasure in multitasking and has excellent organizational skills
High stress tolerance -- thrives in a high-pressure environment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to Check-in and Check-out patients
Check-Out all patients on a daily basis
Back-up the Front Desk Associate as neededAnswer multiple telephone lines promptly, courteously and professionally
Schedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments
Assist confirm upcoming appointments at least 48 hrs. in advance
Ensures that proper authorization or referral is sent to Primary Care Physician and received for each patient.
Follow-up on no-show appointments
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Bilingual - Must speak English and Spanish 2 +years experience in a medical office
Strong computer literacy
Billing experience is a plus
Works well under pressure and to multitask
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
