Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the medical calendar effectively.
Verify insurance information and handle medical collections as necessary.
Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with coding and billing processes, including familiarity with ICD-10 codes.
Prepare care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
Utilize EMR software for patient management and documentation.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services offered.
Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to facilitate care.
Skills
Proficient in medical scheduling and front desk operations.
Knowledge of medical coding practices and insurance verification processes.
Experience with medical collections is a plus.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse patient population.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
