Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures.

Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.

Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process insurance claims related to medical billing and collections.

Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary.

Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.

Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting demographic information, updating medical histories, and explaining clinic procedures.

Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans, reviewing documentation, and managing electronic health records (EHR) management tasks across systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Front Desk Coordinator in a healthcare setting, preferably with clinic or dental office experience.

Strong knowledge of medical office management software such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Eaglesoft or Dentrix.

Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and medical billing procedures including Medicare processes.

Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.

Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks.

Strong communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation.

Knowledge of health insurance verification processes, medical coding practices, and clinical confidentiality policies is preferred.
