Job Description
The role of the Front Desk Receptionist is to act as a liaison for patient phone calls, check patients in for appointments, gather and input registration information, schedule office appointments, and work in a team environment to perform front office support duties. This position operates in a fast‑paced environment that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and exceptional customer service skills.
Position Summary:
This is a full-time position that will be Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with occasional need to stay later as business needs arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet and check in patients, register demographic information and verify insurance.
· Answer multi-line phones, screen, and direct phone calls.
· Verify current informational status.
· Collect co-pays and take payments.
· Track all monies collected.
· Check all insurance for accuracy and make necessary phone calls.
· Be available to open and close daily.
· Coverage for coworkers at all facility locations.
· Position to be covered at all times.
· Appointment scheduling (in person and via phone) to include Mohs scheduling.
Requirements:
· Nextech proficiency required (will train, as applicable).
· Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· High level of customer service and professionalism required.
· Experience in EMR and practice management computer systems.
· High school graduate or equivalent required.
· High attention to detail.
Work Environment:
Room temperature varies, well lighted, and works closely with co-workers.
