Medical Receptionist - Full-time in Reynoldsburg, OH

At Emerald Psychiatry, we see possibilities instead of barriers. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be working with a team of like-minded practitioners and staff in a patient-centric environment. We partner with patients through their mental health challenges so they may become the best version of themselves. The Medical Receptionist is needed to offer in-person support to patients and providers in our Cincinatti office. This position is key to setting the tone for all client interactions and must be able to work under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast- paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and attend to patients in person and virtually.

Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.

Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance repairs.

Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Maintain confidentiality of all medical providers, staff, and patient’s information while being HIPAA compliant.

Support appointment scheduling for multiple providers
Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.

Ability to identify when to elevate and reroute concerns or questions to appropriate staff.

Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year working within the healthcare industry required with previous medical receptionist experience preferred.

Medical Practice Management, Electronic Health Records, and Patient Engagement experience is preferred. Experience in Doxy and AdvancedMD a plus
Maintains a positive attitude and mindset who values patient care.

Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Self-starter who can work autonomously.

Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.

Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.

Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of siting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
