Job Description

Responsibilities:

-THIS POSITION HAS 20 % TRAVEL TIME NECESSARY ON A WEEKLY BASIS.

- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar

- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient scheduling and minimize wait times

- Collect and verify patient information, attorney information, letters of protection, insurance details and medical history for scheduling, obtaining referrals and authorizations

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and scheduling

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the scheduling system

- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction

-Collect payments and manage a cash box

- Follow office policies and procedures for scheduling and appointment management
Experience:

- Previous experience as a scheduler or in a similar administrative role is preferred

- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus

-Previous experience with authorizations and insurance verification

- Proficiency in using EMR systems

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
