Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, handle medical documentation, and support the smooth flow of clinic activities. Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures
Schedule appointments accurately using Advanced MD
Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and efficiently
Maintain and update patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards.

Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry, appointment reminders, and handling medical records requests.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office role with strong clerical and administrative skills.

Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and handle Medicare or other insurance claims efficiently is highly preferred.

Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; typing speed of at least 10-key for data entry tasks
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
Experience working in a clinic or dental office setting is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
