Job Description
Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in Neuro, Ortho, and Pain Management seeking an experienced, dedicated, proficient, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Office Coordinator to oversee the administrative operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a background in medical office management, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient service.

Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, visitors, physicians, and vendors in a professional and welcoming manner
Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in, check-out, registration, and scheduling
Answer and route incoming phone calls while providing excellent customer service and communication
Coordinate scheduling and communication with physician offices, schedulers, and healthcare providers
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, authorizations, and required documentation
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely collection of forms, insurance cards, and identification
Support daily office operations to ensure efficient patient flow and smooth administrative workflow
Assist with vendor coordination, invoice tracking, purchase orders, and office administrative tasks
Help monitor and organize office supplies, vendor deliveries, and operational documentation
Coordinate communication between clinical staff, management, physician offices, and external vendors
Maintain organized office files, reports, and administrative records
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, office policies, and healthcare standards
Support management with additional administrative, operational, and coordination tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
Previous experience (1-3 years) as a Medical Receptionist, Front Office Coordinator, Medical Office Assistant, or similar healthcare administrative role preferred
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), surgical practice, orthopedic, spine, pain management, or medical office experience preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, schedulers, vendors, and administrative staff
Experience with patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and front desk operations preferred
Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare office workflows
Experience with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred
Comfortable handling administrative tasks, vendor coordination, invoices, purchase orders and office documentation
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality
Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work independently when needed
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Ability to reliably commute to our facility in Fort Myers, FL, on a daily basis is required.

Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends
8-hour morning shifts
