Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour

Job Summary:
Trade Winds Family Medicine is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator to support daily front office operations and patient care coordination.

This role is responsible for managing patient scheduling, coordinating communication, supporting referral and treatment plan workflows, and ensuring smooth front office operations using electronic medical record and messaging systems. This position is essential to maintaining efficient clinic flow and a positive patient experience.

Core Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls and manage high-volume patient messages
Schedule, reschedule, and manage appointments in eClinicalWorks
Manage patient communication through Klara and EMR systems
Coordinate referrals, treatment plans, and patient follow-up tasks
Support population health and care coordination workflows as directed
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in eClinicalWorks
Manage front office workflow and patient flow throughout the day, including peak morning hours
Adapt to provider schedule changes and shifting clinic priorities
Maintain knowledge of clinic protocols and ensure accurate patient information is communicated
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations
Make appropriate decisions within established protocols and escalate when necessary
Maintain calm, professional, and patient-focused communication at all times
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office or clinical front desk role (required)
Strong medical terminology knowledge (required)
Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred
Experience with patient messaging systems such as Klara or similar preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to follow established protocols consistently
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday: approximately 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
No current Saturday hours, though occasional future Saturday coverage may be required
Schedule will fall within clinic hours, not to exceed 40 hours per week
