Job Description
Virginia Retina Center is currently looking for a front desk receptionist with medical experience to work in our Warrenton and Culpeper, Virginia offices.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
We are looking for a motivated candidate who is dependable, and friendly to join our team. This is a fast-paced office so the right candidate will enjoy multi-tasking.
Medical office experience required, preferably minimum of 1 year.
Responsibilities:
Welcome all patients and visitors by greeting them with a friendly demeanor.
Data entry of patient demographics, insurance information, etc.
Check patients in and out.
Collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
Scan insurance cards, IDs, and patient documents.
Schedule appointments
Answer phones, screen calls, take messages and return phone calls as directed.
Post insurance and patient payments
Contact insurance companies by phone and via written documentation.
Assist with prior authorizations.
Perform other related duties, as appropriate.
