Job Description
Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is seeking an positive, hardworking individual to join our medical receptionist team. This individual must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities would include the following:
Greeting patients professionally with compassion & empathy
Checking patients In/Out ensuring all patient information is current and accurate
Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
Answering phones
Scheduling appointments by following individual pre-determined guidelines
Coordinating referrals to other providers
Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
Obtaining insurance authorizations, as needed
Working closely with physicians and their teams
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Professional customer service
Positive verbal and written communication
Organization and time management to oversee a variety of tasks effectively
Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients & fellow staff members- even in stressful situations
Multi-tasking with the ability to prioritize and organize work, all while maintaining accuracy- despite frequent interruptions
Attention to detail & quality
Triaging multi-line telephone calls
Education:
High School or GED required
Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial
Experience:
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical Receptionist: 1 year
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
