Job Summary
Great Basin Behavioral Health seeks a full-time receptionist/scheduler to join our team!
*** This is a closing position and will need flexibility to stay as late as 7pm most nights; occasionally, the position will require opening as early as 745am.

*** IMPORTANT***
***The schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, though, hours may vary depending on the agency's demands and other admin staff needing coverage for sick time/vacation.***
***Afternoon work availably is required until 7pm. ***
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in more complex duties involving billing, insurance denials, and management of angry or upset clients
Assist in training new admin staff as needed
Manage and coordinate scheduling on behalf of agency staff
Answer phones and assist with faxing, filing, and other tasks as needed
Complete and document interactions between admin and clients
Assist with insurance authorizations, denials, and secondary billing as needed
Attend meetings and training as necessitated by agency
Coordinate care between clients and professionals both internally and external to the agency
Follow all legal and ethical requirements relative to state and local laws, especially in relation to HIPAA and privacy laws relative to healthcare
Position Requirments:
Hours may vary, however, will typically be Monday to Friday, depending on the needs of the agency. Flexibility with hours is required for the selected candidate.
Customer service experience and ability to multitask
A strong emphasis on ability to manage information and remain organized, yet efficient
Some college preferred, but not required
Computer, fax, and phone competence is required and must be demonstrated through previous work history
We use Apple based equipment; candidate need be proficient in the use of a Mac and/or able to learn quickly; most of our work is web based through a browser.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay DOE and level of training/education
Pay is hourly but may be changed to salary at employers discretion
Annual increases may be provided, depending on performance
