Job Overview
We are seeking a "bilingual" professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the medical or dental office. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and experience in a medical or dental office setting. The Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Collect insurance information and process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling as needed
Maintain organized front desk area and ensure all administrative tasks are completed timely
Handle billing inquiries and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers
Support office staff with administrative duties including data entry, filing, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is desirable
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical or dental office procedures
Office experience involving front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, and administrative tasks is essential
Prior experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment will be advantageous
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively are required for success in this role
Pay: $19.20-$24.51 per hour
