Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and professional Medical Spa Receptionist to join our vibrant team! Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, ensuring a friendly and professional front desk experience
Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical collections accurately
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including documentation review and updating medical records
Assist with medical billing and coding, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10 coding, and Medicare claims processing
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies during all patient interactions and record management
Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing information about services, appointment reminders, and answering inquiries with excellent phone etiquette
Support clinical staff by reviewing care plans, updating medical records, and ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and procedures
Utilize various EMR/EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for efficient data entry and management
Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing electronic health records with precision
Coordinate with insurance providers to facilitate claims processing and resolve billing issues promptly
Experience
Prior clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred, especially within dental or aesthetic clinics
Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and health insurance processes including Medicare claims
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction and care coordination
Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies
Proven clerical experience supporting front desk operations in a healthcare setting
Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication purposes
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
