Job Overview
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist on Mondays 8am-5pm pay varies by experience and on single vs double booking
This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a welcoming environment focused on pediatric and general dentistry, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering positive patient experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, ensuring infection prevention, and supporting our commitment to patient education and comfort.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Assess vital signs and medical history to evaluate patient health status before procedures.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation review, medical coding, and EHR management, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures.
Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and pediatric patient care strategies.
Skilled in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and medical imaging procedures.
Ability to accurately measure vital signs and perform patient assessments with professionalism and empathy.
Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control practices aligned with OSHA standards.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
