Job Description

Overview:

The Scheduler/Cashier coordinates ancillary department schedules, working with the various departments and physicians to maintain efficient department workflow

CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS:

Mon-Thurs 11am-8pm, Friday 8-5pm

Possibility of covering: fours hours on Friday (closing MRI)

Twelve hours on Saturday (working the whole day for time off coverage)

Responsibilities:

Receive and process incoming calls for appointments; Place reminder calls to patients going over preparation for exam

Schedule appointments in accordance with physicians and/or department requirements; coordinate with other departments as necessary.

Recognize and record changes in patient information (address, phone number, insurance, etc.). When patients need updates scan insurance cards.

Obtain any necessary paperwork need prior to exam, Orders/Implant Information.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
