Job Description
Practice Background:
West Broward Eyecare is a top optometric office that has provided excellent eyecare and service to Tamarac for 41 years. We are expanding and would like to add a strong team member to our staff to better serve our patients.
Position:
We are looking for a motivated and personable individual for a front desk receptionist position with an upbeat personality who can interact well with our patients and the team members around them.
We want someone who loves to continue to learn and improve themselves.
We are looking for an individual who can deliver outstanding customer service and also has the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Appointment scheduling
Insurance verification and authorization
Greeting patients, answering calls, check-in and check-out
Payment collection and billing to insurance and vision plan companies
Answer questions and provide information on products and services (on the job training will be provided)
Required and preferred skills:
Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
Requires proper phone etiquette, professional appearance and punctuality
Requires multitasking
Candidate with knowledge of routine vision plans such as VSP, EyeMed, etc. is preferred
Must be able to type
Experience in Eyecare is preferred
Medical Authorization experience preferred
Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
