Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oral Surgeon to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and surgical excellence. Duties
Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including dental extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and corrective jaw surgeries.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, clinical examinations, and appropriate medical imaging to develop precise treatment plans.
Utilize aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
Collaborate with general dentists, specialists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education, ensuring clear communication of procedures, expectations, and aftercare instructions.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Use advanced dental imaging technology to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Ensure all procedures adhere to current healthcare diagnosis standards, dental terminology, and best practices in oral surgery.
Stay updated on the latest developments in oral surgery techniques, anesthesia protocols, and infection control measures.
Experience
Proven experience in oral surgery within a dental clinic or healthcare setting is required.
Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Demonstrated expertise in performing dental extractions, dental implants, root canal therapy, and other complex surgical procedures.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques relevant to oral surgery.
Experience with pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while providing compassionate care.
