Oral Surgery Assistant

Job Summary
Pre-operative Preparation:
Patient Preparation: Greet patients, obtain medical and dental history, and prepare them for surgery.

Sterilization and Organization: Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and equipment.

Room Preparation: Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies and equipment.

During Surgery:
Chairside Assistance: Assist the surgeon during procedures by handing instruments, providing suction, and maintaining a sterile field.

Vital Sign Monitoring: Monitor and document patient vital signs.

Anesthesia Assistance: Assist with administering local or general anesthesia if qualified.

Post-operative Care:
Patient Education: Provide post-operative instructions to patients regarding healing and aftercare.

Pain Management: Assist with pain management, if necessary.

Follow-up: Schedule and coordinate follow-up appointments.

Other Duties:
Radiography: Take and process dental radiographs.

Inventory Management: Maintain and monitor supplies and equipment inventory.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes and procedural details.

Infection Control: Practice strict infection control procedures.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
