Job Description
Plaza Facial Surgery is a fast-paced, patient-focused oral and maxillofacial surgery practice committed to excellence in surgical care and concierge-level service. We are seeking a highly motivated Oral Surgery Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. Experience in oral surgery is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong medical or dental background. Starting pay is $18/ hour and up, depending on experience.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a:
Oral Surgery Assistant
Dental Assistant (RDA)

Key Responsibilities
Assist surgeon during oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures (extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, IV sedation cases, All-on-4 procedures, etc.)
Monitor patients during IV sedation (vitals, oxygen saturation, blood pressure)
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments (autoclave, infection control protocols)
Turn over operatories efficiently
Take digital X-rays and CBCT scans
Review medical histories and update patient charts
Provide post-operative instructions
Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance
Stock surgical rooms and manage supplies
Support front office when needed
Deliver exceptional patient care and communication
Qualifications
✔ Dental Assistant (DA/RDA) preferred
✔ Oral surgery experience strongly preferred
✔ X-ray certification preferred
✔ CPR/BLS certification required
✔ IV sedation monitoring experience a plus
✔ Strong attention to detail
✔ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced surgical setting
✔ Professional appearance and communication skills
