Job Description
We are a busy oral and maxillofacial surgery practice focused on high-quality patient care, efficiency, and a positive team culture. We perform a high volume of surgical procedures and IV sedation, and we are seeking a reliable, experienced Surgical Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a part-time or full-time position in a two-doctor oral surgery office with a fast-paced surgical schedule. X-ray and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
· Prepare exam/surgical rooms and ensure all the instruments and equipment are sterile and properly set up
· Assist surgeons during in-office surgical and minor procedures
· Monitor and support patient comfort and safety during procedures
· Maintain a sterile environment and follow all infection control protocols
· Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after procedures.
· Document procedures accurately in patient EMR
· Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and pre/post operative instructions
· Prepare and label specimens for lab processing
· Educate patients on post-operative care and follow-up instructions
· Collaborate with the front office for scheduling and patient flow as needed
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and office protocols
Qualifications:
· Prior experience as a dental/surgical assistant
· Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical protocols
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
· Compassionate, professional demeanor with a strong attention to detail
· EMR proficiency a plus
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
License/Certification:
X-Ray and CPR/BLS certification (Required)
