We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time basis.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Oral Surgery Dental Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about patient care. This role will support oral surgery procedures while ensuring patient comfort, maintaining sterilization standards, and assisting the doctor with all aspects of surgical treatment.
Part-Time
Tuesday – Thursday
7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Assist the doctor during oral surgery procedures including extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, and related treatments
Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments prior to procedures
Sterilize and maintain instruments in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
Take digital X-rays and CBCT scans as needed
Monitor patient comfort and provide reassurance throughout procedures
Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative instructions
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes using dental software systems
Ensure operatories are clean, organized, and fully stocked
Collaborate closely with the clinical team to provide exceptional patient care
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
DAANCE certification required
X-Ray Certification required
Previous oral surgery or surgical dental assisting experience preferred
Experience with implants and surgical procedures strongly preferred
Knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
CPR/BLS certification
