Burg Orthodontics is looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic team. Experience & Key Responsibilities:
Seat patients promptly and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
Assist the orthodontist chairside with procedures, including placing separators, elastic chains, wires, and preparing teeth for bonding and Invisalign attachments.
Take diagnostic records such as X-rays, CBCT scans, iTero scans, impressions, and complete clinical charting and documentation.
Monitor and support patient oral hygiene, provide brushing instructions, and educate patients and parents on treatment and post-appointment care.
Manage clinical setup and turnover, including instrument sterilization, operatory cleaning, stocking supplies, and maintaining organization and readiness.
Support overall practice operations by attending meetings, following office policies, assisting with additional assigned tasks, and representing the practice professionally.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred)
Be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
Possess great understanding of dental terminology
Have excellent communication and written skills
Have excellent public relations skills
Work well with patients and team
Be experienced in delivering high-level customer service
Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
