Job Overview
Our team is growing! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Keener Orthodontics. In this role, you will support Dr. Keener in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience during their visits. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, desire to learn the most up to date orthodontic technology, and a passion for working with patients of all ages. Experience in orthodontics is highly desired. Candidates fluent in English and Spanish are also highly desired. We are a privately-owned practice that has served the Charlottesville community since 1971!
Responsibilities
Assisting the orthodontist during procedures by preparing the necessary tools and materials.
Utilize 3D scanners to capture precise images for treatment planning.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
Perform dental assisting tasks including taking impressions and fitting appliances.
Engage in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency during procedures.
Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing the dental clinic's front desk operations.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in orthodontics or a related dental setting. Familiarity with infection control practices, dental terminology, and dental radiographs is highly desirable. Experience working in a pediatric setting is a plus. A commitment to providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrating a team-first mentality is essential for success in joining our team.
