Job Description
Teichman Orthodontics offers personalized, comfortable treatments to create beautiful, confident smiles for all ages Our team is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles while delivering a positive and professional patient experience.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to support our orthodontic team in providing high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthodontics, be detail-oriented, and excel at patient interaction.
Schedule:
Monday - Wednesday every week and also the third Thursday of the month.
Responsibilities:
Assist orthodontists during procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance installations.
Take and record dental impressions, X-rays, and photographs.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and California regulations.
Sterilize instruments and ensure operatory rooms are prepared for procedures.
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
Provide excellent chairside support to ensure patient comfort during treatment.
Communicate effectively with the team to optimize patient flow and care.
Qualifications:
California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
Orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
CPR certification required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of dental software and digital imaging preferred.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
