Job Description:
Our office is seeking an experienced orthodontic assistant to join our team! We are a well-established private practice with amazing patients. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing top-notch dental care, has a positive attitude, good social skills, and is a team player.
Candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of office experience in orthodontic or dental assisting. Orthodontic Assistant Certification or RDA License is highly preferred.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm
Job Duties:
· Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
· Taking X-rays of patients’ mouths.
· Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress.
· Taking dental scans of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers.
· Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, o ties, elastic bands and certain orthodontic appliances.
· Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.
