Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will support orthodontists in delivering exceptional patient care, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth office operations. This role offers an engaging environment where you can utilize your assisting skills and contribute to improving patients’ smiles. Experience with orthodontics, dental software, and pediatric dentistry is highly valued. The Orthodontic Assistant will play a vital role in providing comprehensive orthodontic treatment and fostering positive patient experiences.

Clinical Duties
Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures
Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments according to IPAC standards
Take digital scans, photos, and radiographs as permitted
Provide patient education on braces, aligners, oral hygiene, and appliance care
Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records
Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked
Administrative Support
Welcome and check in patients
Occasionally (as needed) schedule and confirm appointments
Occasionally (as needed) answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
Support day-to-day office organization and workflow
Qualifications
Orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred
Level II Dental Assistant certification considered an asset
HARP certification preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Experience with orthodontic software is an asset

Pay: $24.48-$38.37 per hour
Work Location: In person
