We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take dental impressions and utilize 3D scanners for accurate modeling.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their treatment plans.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
Proficiency in using 3D scanners and medical imaging technology.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to orthodontics and dentistry.
Experience with dental clinic operations, including knowledge of endodontics and prosthodontics.
Competence in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Curve, or Eaglesoft.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy clinical setting.
