Schedule for the Orthodontic Dental Assistant:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM (once per month)
Requirements and Responsibilities of the Orthodontic Dental Assistant:
Previous dental assisting experience required; orthodontic experience is a plus.
Capture and maintain accurate orthodontic records, including photographs, CBCT scans, and intraoral scans.
Assist with orthodontic procedures such as placing separators, fitting bands, and supporting bracket bonding appointments.
Change, tie, and remove archwires while assisting with ongoing orthodontic treatment.
Perform adjustments to orthodontic appliances, including power chains, stainless steel ties, and auxiliary attachments.
Assist with SureSmile treatment workflows, including wire changes, aligner cases, and digital case submissions.
Deliver orthodontic appliances and obtain impressions or digital scans as needed.
Complete laboratory duties, including model fabrication, retainer fabrication, and other orthodontic lab procedures.
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
