Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Join our dynamic team as an Orthodontic Assistant / Marketing Specialist and play a vital, double-threat role in our practice! In this energetic, hybrid position, you won't just work chairside helping our orthodontists transform smiles—you will also be a key player on our marketing team.

You will get to assist with clinical adjustments and help tell our practice’s story to the world, making this a highly varied, engaging, and fun daily experience!

Dual-Role Duties1. Clinical Assisting (The Hands-On Care)
Chairside Assisting: Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures, including bonding, debonding, adjustments, and emergency appliance repairs.

Clinical Imaging: Take high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and 3D digital impressions (such as iTero scans).

Clinical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with clinical terminology, orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain clinical steps clearly, put anxious patients at ease, and motivate great oral hygiene.

Sterilization & Setup: Keep clinical bays stocked, sterilized, and perfectly prepared for patient flow.

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with orthodontic practice management software (e.g., Tops Software) and Itero digital scanning technology.

Dexterity & Detail: Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical bay.

2. Marketing & Creative (The Fun Twist!)
Content Creation: Capture the magic of our practice! Shoot fun TikToks, Instagram Reels, and before-and-after photos of our patients (with consent) to showcase our practice culture.

Patient Milestones: Lead our "Debond Day" celebrations, taking photos and videos of patients showing off their brand-new smiles.

Community & Events: Brainstorm, coordinate, and participate in local community events, school sponsorships, and in-office patient contests/raffles.

Brand Advocacy: Work closely with our core marketing team to ensure our clinical brand voice is authentic, fun, and consistent across all platforms.

Skills & Qualifications
Clinical Credentials: Active dental/orthodontic assisting license/certification (e.g., RDA, COA, and/or X-ray certification as required by state regulations).

Clinical Experience: Proven hands-on experience in a dental or orthodontic setting.

Creative Flair: Comfortable on camera, tech-savvy, and highly familiar with social media platforms (FB/Instagram, TikTok, Canva).

High Energy: Outgoing, charismatic, and able to easily build rapport with children, teens, and parents to get them excited about being featured on our pages.

Communication & Detail: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for clinical detail and patient privacy (HIPAA) compliance.
