Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated RDA to join our dynamic orthodontic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence.
Hours:
3-4 days/week
Duties
Assist orthodontists during various procedures including bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance fittings
Takes X-rays and intraoroal scans
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring HIPAA compliance
Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices
Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas are sterile and organized
Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation
Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care
Requirements
RDA
Orthodontic Dental Assistant experience is strongly preferred!
Certification in radiography or X-ray certification is REQUIRED!
Prior Front desk experience is a plus!
Competence in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about orthodontic treatments
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
